One of the best things about a University organised dance event is that being a charity organisation (i.e. not for profit) the costs associated with running a event on University campus is much cheaper (compared to a traditional dance festival when a hotel function room would be hired for the event) as the student unions charge a minimal venue hire fee, these cost savings are passed down onto us dancers!

Liverpool Latin festival on Saturday 2nd March 2024
Birmingham Latin festival (in association with Latin Motion) date for this event in 2024 is currently unknown
I have been going to the Birmingham Latin festival since 2014 which is the original all dayer event run by a University and also the Liverpool Latin festival since they started organising their own all dayer event from 2015. Both Birmingham and Liverpool University all dayer events have grown from strength to strength over the last few years and can say its a event to certainly try and is attended well by many salsa societies across the UK who organise a group to travel to the event for the day these all dayer events. Typical entry price is around £22 for non student (£18 student) full pass and £12 for non student (£10 student) evening only pass. A typical Uk festival would charge about £70 for a all day pass or £25 for a evening only party ticket in comparison so you can see the cost savings already in price!
On a Separate note the Edinburgh salsa society hosts the monthly "Fiesta Latina" dance social in Edinburgh each month during term time. Typically 2 lessons at 2 levels run from 8.30pm to 10.30pm and then dance social in 2 rooms salsa and bachata/kizomba room til 3am and is attended by 250 people on average making it Scotland's biggest dance social! Entry is between £5 and £11 depending if you are a EUSS member/student or general public. These fiesta latinas are the best University led events at the best price within the UK that I have ever seen and is my favourite events and I normally attend each Edinburgh Fiesta Latina where possible being such a good night attended by many dancers ranging form complete beginners to advanced.
