I have complied a list below of a few dance events you "must try" if you are in an area of a city! These are the best events i can personally recommend if you are in that city and seeking a dance night!

Manchester Bachateame - Generally held every 1st Sunday of the month at Manchester Revolution de Cuba. Entry is £7 and this includes a open bachata class from 7.30pm to 8.30pm followed by a bachata social with a hint of salsa and kizomba from 8.30pm til 1am! This is the best bachata night and busiest bachata night on Sunday in the UK! The vibe and atmosphere of the party is one of the best which is what I love about this event and the event is well attended by dancers from surrounding cites including Leeds, Liverpool, York, Sheffield and of course Manchester. This party is organised by Latin Party UK

Manchester OTB (On the Beat) - monthly event held in a city centre location in Manchester . Entry is between £10 -£15 and this includes 2 bachata class (2 levels simultaneously) from 8.30pm to 10.30pm followed by a bachata social with a hint of salsa and kizomba from 10.30pm till 2am or 3am! This is probably one of the best bachata night held in Manchester for either a Friday or Saturday! The vibe and atmosphere of the party is one of the best which is what I love about this event and the event is well attended by dancers from surrounding cites including Leeds, Liverpool, Sheffield and of course Manchester.

Liverpool SBK - Generally held on a Friday night once a month at Selina Liverpool. Entry is free (although donations are greatly appreciated) and is a pure SBK social 2 Bachatas, 1 salsa & 1 kizomba on rotation from 8pm till 2am. This is probably the best free SBK night held on a Friday in the UK (its so rare to have a free night on a Friday since venues charge so much for room hire). Again the vibe and atmosphere is certainly there and this event is well attended by by both Liverpool and Manchester dancers and is organised by Tee Shengji and Ema Staraite.

SBK at Blackpool Tower ballroom - Generally held every Quarter on a Saturday night at the world famous Blackpool tower ballroom this is an opportunity to dance salsa/bachata kizomba in the famous ballroom itself! Entry is between £14 - £20 which includes 2 lessons from 8pm till 10pm and a social until 3am. The November and sometimes February edition are generally 3 room parties with salsa in the main ballroom and Bachata and Kizomba on level 3 or if its a mixed SBK (normally the June edition)  it will be held all in the main tower ballroom with mainly salsa played with a sprinkle of bachata and kizomba. This night attracts dancers from all across the region and is proving to be a very popular and busy event, so make sure you come down to see what all the fuss is about and dance in the tower ballroom as it really is a unforgettable night of dance!  This event is organised by Carl Poxon.

Edinburgh Fiesta Latina - Generally held on a Saturday night once a month during term time at Potterrow at Edinburgh University student Union. Entry is between £5 to £11 for students and non students and can include 2 lessons (2 levels simultaneously)  from 8pm to 10pm followed by a SBK social in 2 rooms salsa and Bachata/Kizomba till 3am. This is probably the best University led event within the UK and also the biggest salsa/bachata social in Scotland with dancers from all across the region coming. Its another great atmosphere and the room is filled with a load of friendly dancers with the level ranging from complete beginners to advanced dancers and this event is well attended by dancers from all over Scotland. This event is organised by the University of Edinburgh Salsa society.

Leeds monthly bachata party - Generally held on a Saturday night once a month at Swathmore Education centre and only a 17 mins walk from Leeds train station.  Advance for ticket is £12 which includes 2 lessons from 7pm to 9pm by guest teachers om the night. £10 for party only entry and the party is from 9pm till 1am and the best bachata is played with a hint of salsa and kizomba. This is probably the best Bachata event to be held in the north of England on a Saturday night. With Leeds being such a central location geographically, dancers from all across the region from Manchester, Sheffield, York, Liverpool and Nottingham do attended. Its another great atmosphere and the room is filled with a load of friendly dancers with the level ranging from complete beginners to advanced dancers. This event is organised by Alberto Fernandez and Agne Baksyte.

Bachata on Saturday (BOS) - Generally held on every 2nd and 4th Saturday night (every 5th Saturday (every 12 weeks) is London Loves Bachata on Saturday which is a collaboration event between BOS and LLB) in Central London at the Vault near temple tube statin or Haverstock school in Chalk farm . Entry is between £20 - £10 for lessons and party or party only and Student discounts are also available, which can include up to 3 lessons (with 3 dance levels of lessons) from 6.30pm -9.30pm with the resident BOS team and occasional guest teachers then Bachata party with a hint of salsa and kizomba till 2am or 3am depending on venue. This is probably the best Bachata event on a Saturday I can recommend for London as the dance scene is quite saturated and with so many events being on the same night.  With London being the capital city dancers from all across the UK dancers form all across the UK, do travel to London to dance and its no surprise this is what makes the great atmosphere and the room is filled with a lots of great dancers with the level ranging from complete beginners to advanced dancers. The selling point about BOS is that the dance level generally speaking is a lot higher here then anywhere else in the UK as London has some of the leading UK artists/teachers therefore the level the teachers do will be higher since the London bachata scene is being pushed further especially on the Dominican bachata as its a rare sight to see Dominican bachata in the north of England from experience. This event is organised by Daniel Chong and Ramiro

Bachata Exchange - This is a very controversial weekly event and generally held every Sunday evening from 5pm till 11pm at Exchange House just outside Liverpool Street train station. Entry is free (although donations are greatly appreciated) for lessons 5pm-6pm (guest teachers each week)  followed by bachata social 6pm till 11pm. This is probably the best free weekly Bachata event in London.  Again with London being the capital city dancers from all across the UK, travel to London to dance and its no surprise this is what makes bachata exchange what it is today, a great atmosphere with lots of great dancers with the level ranging from complete beginners to advanced dancers. The selling point about Bachata exchange is that the event is aimed at introducing beginners to the world of Bachata with a view, should the beginners want to progress towards improvers and intermediate level, they will be able to seek the other weekly nights which offer more specialised advanced workshops such as sensual bachata and Dominican bachata paid lessons held in London. Although bachata exchange is a very controversial event as I can see both sides of the argument that teachers that run bachata workshops and socials do so for a living and are potentially losing money to bachata exchange offering free workshops and socials to the other side that due to the high cost of living expenses students can't simply afford to pay the entry to attend dance lessons or parties and we have to strike a fair balance between the two. We do want to see teachers still being able to make a living through their teaching/parties they do but at the same time we also want to see people who are less financially well off being given the opportunity to learn to dance (with money not being a potential barrier to attend). I have attended bachata exchange several times and can say its a fun event and any beginner dancers wanting to try bachata dancing should give it a go! This event is organised by the Bachata exchange committee

Edinburgh SBK Fridays at Hype Club - Generally held most Fridays (when the monthly Edinburgh fiesta Latina isn't on) at Hype club in Edinburgh and hosted by Ami Emirato. Entry is between £7 to £15 (student discount is available) and can include 2 lessons at 2 levels  from 8pm to 10pm followed by a SBK social salsa/bachata/Kizomba till 3am. This is probably one of the best SBK events in the Uk for a Friday night because its a excellent dance venue its held in accompanied with a reasonable entry fee of between £7 - £15 which offers great value for money for a Friday night.

On a normal SBK Friday night its attended well by the local Edinburgh dance community which are a friendly and inclusive crowd and is suitable for all levels form beginners to advanced. On the bigger Friday night parties that have guest instructors and guest Djs for the night we also see dancers from all across the region coming from Glasgow, Aberdeen, Newcastle and sometimes as far as Manchester and Leeds. Its another great atmosphere in a stylish club environment and the room is often filled to capacity especially on the big SBK party nights with a load of friendly dancers with the level ranging from complete beginners to advanced dancers and this event is well attended by dancers from all over Scotland and the north of England. Music policy is 50/50 2 salsas and 3 bachatas on rotation. This event is organised by Ami Emirato the man who is responsible for taking bachata to the next Level in Scotland and north of England. If you are visiting Edinburgh, this night is a must to try!

Northumbria Interuniversity all dayer - Generally held on a Saturday for a whole day in March each year run by Northumbria Salsa society in collaboration with other salsa societies across the UK. Entry is between £5 to £10 for students and tis event is open to the public. Lessons held from midday till 6pm with a opportunity to try salsa, bachata, Kizomba Reggaeton and styling lesson followed by a SBK social of salsa and Bachata/Kizomba till about 11pm. Refreshments including pizza is provided after the lessons at 6pm and snacks and water will be available throughout the day to keep dancers hydrated. This is another really good event to try (especially if you are an improver level dancer as many dancers from the university salsa societies are a improver level) as again its a University led event within the UK so its very reasonably priced and  with dancers from all across the region from several other universities coming it will be well attended. Its another great atmosphere in the social and the room is filled with a load of friendly dancers with the level ranging from complete beginners to intermediate dancers. This event is organised by the University of Northumbria Salsa society.
